In 1999 Paul started his career on-site with a main contractor delivering a large highways PFI scheme. He moved to the PQS side where he developed his skills as a QS, Employer’s Agent and Project Manager, becoming a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and delivering a variety of new build and refurbishment projects. It was during this time Paul met David Champs and a few years later (2007) they formed TC Consult.
Paul specialises in planning complex construction and development projects, in particular those involving lease arrangements in the retail and leisure sectors. His practical approach quickly gets him to the key objectives of a project for which he maps out a process plan to achieve the end goal. His personable style is key to getting other team members to buy into both plan and process, and ultimately gets the project delivered.
As well as delivering projects hands on, Paul also manages the company’s marketing and PR, and is company secretary dealing with all legal matters.
Outside of work you’ll find Paul with his young family or in the mountains, on his bikes or snowboards – if you get an international ring tone you’ll know why!
